One-Day adventures depart from Kimberley Alpine Resort

Skiers and riders with limited time may experience the best of the Purcell backcountry with a professionally guided, one-day helicopter-assisted backcountry ski touring adventure. Kimberley Alpine Resort and Boulder Hut Adventures have teamed up to offer an action packed day that includes helicopter pick-up and drop off at Kimberley Alpine Resort and one heli-drop ski run, with the balance of the ski day’s runs accessed by guided ski touring.

Tours are operated by Boulder Hut Adventures. The 15,000-acre Boulder Hut skiing tenure near Kimberley offers challenging terrain for every skier including chutes, high alpine bowls, glades and treed powder skiing. Elevation ranges from 1,500-2,800 meters, which means reliable snow.

ACMG-certified backcountry ski guides will use all of their tools and skills to find guests the best untracked powder skiing available given current conditions. Good fitness and general competence on skis or a splitboard are needed.

Precautions recommended by government health authorities (masks, surface sanitizing, etc.) will be observed during guest orientation and helicopter transport.
